Let's introduce our dramaturgic team!
Festival programmer and film producer Jitka Kotrlová graduated in Film Science from the Faculty of Arts of the Charles University and in Production from the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU). She has worked for numerous Czech film festivals (Karlovy Vary IFF, Finále Plzeň, Ostrava Kamera Oko, Prague IFF – Febiofest) as dramaturge or film industry organizer. She produced a documentary Central Bus Station and live action film Snowing!.
The festival programmer and film historian Zuzana Černá graduated in Film Studies with a master’s degree from Charles University in Prague. She works in the programme department of the Prague IFF – Febiofest, as well as for other film festivals, such as Ostrava Kamera Oko.She also works with the National Film Archive, notably in oral history, i.e. the discipline that contributes to the knowledge of our history through the memories of eye witnesses.
Film producer and festival programmer Hana Blaha Šilarová focuses mainly on debuts and second films. Her finished films include the documentaries Skutok sa stal and Budovatelé říše. She is currently preparing the film Vyšetřovatel and is developing, for example, the VR film Tmání, the acted film Domovina or the documentary Human Beeing.She selects documentaries for the East Silver market and the Karlovy Vary IFF. She worked with DAFilms.cz and the National Film Archive as PR Manager and she has also worked for Prague IFF – Febiofest, Ji.hlava IDFF and dok.incubator. She graduated in Production from the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU) and in Film Studies from the Faculty of Arts of the Charles University.
Tomáš Poštulka, a graduate in the dual-major master’s program of Film Studies and Media Studies, has been involved in the Academia Film Olomouc film festival since 2016 and has been a communications assistant since 2019. He has worked at the Ji.hlava International Film Festival and is currently the dramaturg for the One World Festival. He was the chief editor of the Pastiche Filmz film club and works as a dramaturg and scriptwriter for the film section of the Nabalkoně students’ society.
Martin Čech is a graduate in Environmental Studies and Media Studies and Journalism from Masaryk University in Brno. This is his third year of involvement in the organisation of the EKOFILM festival, where he is mainly responsible for the expert part of the program. He also started collaborating on the festival's dramaturgy two years ago.
