Let's meet a member of film jury: Karel Stibral

Karel Stibral is the Head of the Department of Environmental Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Masaryk University, Brno. By education an aesthetician and historian of the natural sciences, he originally worked as a graphic artist and draughtsman. His sphere of interest is the interrelationships between art and nature and the history of nature conservation and environmental thinking in relation to the history of culture and natural sciences. He is the author of articles, reviews and books, including Why is Nature Beautiful, Darwin and Aesthetics, On the Picturesque: The Aesthetics of Nature Between Garden and Wilderness and The Aesthetics of Nature: On the History of Aesthetic Appraisal of the Countryside.
