Driving Reactions
Funnel cakes, cupcakes and county fairs star in this visually engaging film about complex chemistry with the potential to address some of the world’s most complex problems – like pesky plastic that’s only been around for roughly one hundred years, but sticks around for closer to one thousand. Professor Hal Alper designs an enzyme that can degrade PET, one of the most common plastics found in water bottles and other common objects, into infinitely recyclable and reusable products.
