A Call From the Wild

Director Asgeir Helgestad is a Norwegian David Attenborough; he has been monitoring the state of nature in his home country all his life. From the lives of bees at his farm, to wild reindeer in high mountains and puffins at the ocean’s edge, he shows us the beauty of nature that is in danger and tracks down human actions responsible for its decline. With great passion and patience, he discovers the beauty of the wilderness and finds a relation between the small and the big. A Call from the Wild is his personal story about our connection to the non-human world, and a reminder of nature’s strength and vulnerability.
